The weekend of November 17-19, 2022 Dastan, Daniel, Björn, Jozef and Christian met in the Harz Mountains. It was a small reunion of the Pink Summits team, which was in Kyrgyzstan in the summer. We were accommodated in the beautifully situated club hut of the “Klettergemeinschaft Harz e.V.”. There we could welcome the first snowflakes of this winter with a fireplace and extended conversations. On Saturday we went on a beautiful hike to the nearby Brocken. Sun, snowy landscape and temperatures around the freezing point made again desire for winter tours in the mountains. The hike to the top of the Brocken is scenic and led for a long time along the tracks of the Brockenbahn. That day, however, not only we wanted to enjoy. The large crowds on the summit quickly led us to seek the way back to the quiet valley. So on the Göthesteig we went down to Schmilka and after a coffee back to our accommodation. There we could also discuss our plans for the coming year. The ascent of Khan Tengri in Kyrgyzstan, a sailing trip in Croatia and a hiking weekend in Slovakia are already on the agenda. And surely again a wintry weekend in this cozy hut in the Harz mountains.
